The M.Sc. Power Engineering program is offered by the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering and is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in the power industry. The program covers recent developments in the field and provides students with the methods and tools required to take on management positions in industry or undertake research activities. The program consists of three semesters, with the final semester focused on solving a research problem and producing a master's diploma thesis. Graduates of the program are well-prepared for creative work and research in processes control in the power industry and related fields.
During the program, students take a variety of courses including computational fluid dynamics, energy efficiency, energy policy and law, numerical methods in heat transfer, advanced heat transfer, and advanced renewable energy sources. Other modules cover future power technologies, statistical and non-equilibrium thermodynamics, neural networks, and project management. These courses provide students with a solid foundation in the field of power engineering, enabling them to develop techniques for energy conversion and maintain power systems. Graduates are also equipped to implement new technologies and modernize machines, as well as establish and manage small enterprises in the power energy sector.
Overall, the M.Sc. Power Engineering program prepares students to be leaders in the field of power engineering, capable of driving innovation and implementing new technologies to meet the growing energy demands of society. Graduates are also well-prepared to pursue further studies, including PhD programs in power engineering and related fields. The Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering is dedicated to providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact in the power industry, and the M.Sc. Power Engineering program is an excellent example of this commitment.
