The M.Sc. in Chemical Technology with a specialization in Composites and Nanomaterials is a three-semester program offered by the Faculty of Chemical Technology. The program aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in chemical technology, with a specific focus on composites and nanomaterials. The first semester of the program is dedicated to improving the basic knowledge in chemical technology for students who have studied different majors at their bachelor's level or are studying abroad.
The regular courses cover topics such as physical and inorganic chemistry, engineering of materials and chemical reactors, technology of polymers, processing of nanomaterials and composites, as well as modeling and simulation. The program also includes laboratory classes, which allow students to perform synthesis and detailed characterization of composites and their practical applications using specific physical, mechanical, and electrochemical properties. Other topics covered include ecology and recycling, as well as advanced materials for generation and storage of energy.
Students have the opportunity to select elective courses during their studies, such as biotechnology or medical aspects. Upon graduation, students receive the title of Master of Science in Chemical Technology, and they are prepared to perform research and development in the discipline of their education, with a focus on composites and nanomaterials. Graduates can be employed in research and industry where the knowledge of advanced materials is required. Their competencies include synthesis, characterization, processing, and application of composites and nanomaterials, as well as environmental protection.
