The innovative program for their new specialization in Cinematography and Post-production is based on the knowledge and experience of world-class multimedia specialists, as well as active filmmakers and creators.

The course is designed to provide students with practical skills to make a complete and successful storyline, starting from a wide range of lighting techniques, creating and developing movie scenes and ending with postproduction workflows. The program consists of valuable lectures, series of masterclasses, workshops, and individual creative work under the guidance of experienced professors and professionals.

The curriculum of the program covers a comprehensive and integrated knowledge of the subject, including working with different types of cameras, photography, optics, lighting in film, color grading, FX/CGI postproduction, VR workshop, editing & sound techniques, and many more. This course provides an opportunity to learn how to create full-featured, professional short forms, documentaries, and long-form productions.

Working in small groups enables learners to exchange experiences and explore the crafts of the director, actor, cameraman, lighting producer, and sound technician, which helps build team spirit, cooperative skills, and prepares students for all aspects of work in a creative environment. The students will receive comprehensive knowledge and technical skills to succeed in the film and television industries.

Moreover, the Warsaw Film School provides students with the unique opportunity to feel the amazing atmosphere of a full-scale cinema as it owns a professional Cinema Elektronik, which is a perfect place for screening their exam projects. Additionally, the school has a rich history of achievements, as its students and graduates were awarded at international film festivals, including Oscar nominations. The graduate Dorota Kobiela was nominated for The Oscars 2018 for “Loving Vincent”, and the first Oscar nomination was given in 2015 to Tomasz Śliwiński for his Documentary Short Subject "Our Curse".

The Warsaw Film School offers a European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) where a student earns 60 credits for successful completion of a full-time academic year and 30 credits for a passed semester. Students are obliged to be awarded 180 credits in the First Cycle of studies.

Scholarships are also available for second and third-year students, who can apply for the Chancellor’s Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded for academic achievements, involvement in school activities, creativity, and leadership, and will be renewed each semester.
