Data Science and Business Analytics

The Data Science and Business Analytics Program is a full-time, four-semester course offered at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw. The program is highly regarded and was ranked 2nd in the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking 2022 for Data Analytics in Eastern Europe.

The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of data science and analytics, which involves various scientific techniques to extract valuable information from data. The curriculum focuses on the application of data analysis, machine learning, and econometrics to solve complex business problems. The program is taught using R and Python software and emphasizes the development of both technical and soft skills that are highly sought after in the industry.

Apart from analytical and technical courses, the program also covers topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, communication, negotiation, and case studies for business. This blend of hard and soft skills makes the program suitable for students with diverse backgrounds.

Graduates of the program can work in various industries and sectors, including financial and insurance institutions, big corporates, telecommunications, marketing, pharmaceuticals, media, and consultancy companies. They can work in departments such as risk management, sales, marketing, business development, and clinical trials.

The program is fee-paying, and the University offers tuition waivers of up to 70% for students with outstanding academic performance. The admission procedure requires candidates to hold a bachelor's, engineering, master's degree, or an equivalent degree from any field of study. Candidates are also required to provide a research experience letter, confirming their involvement in at least two relevant projects. Foreign students must also provide a transcript of their academic record for the relevant cycle of study and proof of proficiency in English at a B2 level.
