Linguistics and Information Management

The Master of Arts in Linguistics and Information Management with a Specialty in Interlinguistics is a two-year, full-time program aimed at students who have already obtained a Bachelor's degree in linguistics or a related field. The program focuses on intercultural communication through the use of Esperanto and covers areas such as linguistics, international and intercultural communication, language policy, and information management. Students will also have the opportunity to choose elective courses of particular interest to them in their second year of study.

Through the program, students will broaden and deepen their abilities in both Esperanto and English, including practical study of the two languages and other courses conducted in them, such as 30 hours in the area of translation. Graduates will have basic knowledge in various areas, including the linguistics, culture, and literature of Esperanto, and will be able to critically analyze and evaluate the language situation in the world as well as utilize their knowledge in intercultural communication. They will be able to compare languages and cultures, appreciate cultural heritages, and work in an international context. Graduates will be able to undertake employment in various sectors, such as international companies, travel agencies, media firms, offices of public administration oriented toward international cooperation, international organizations, and cultural organizations.
