The Faculty of Electrical Engineering offers a four-year Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering, which prepares students for a broad range of careers in this field. The program covers a wide range of topics including electrical materials technology, circuits and systems, electromagnetic field, electrical machines, electrical power engineering, converter drives control, high voltage technology, and IT. The aim of the program is to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to design, build, and maintain electrical systems, as well as to prepare them for the demands of the rapidly evolving field of electrical engineering.
The program begins with a foundation in mathematics, computer science, and physics, which provides students with a solid background in the fundamental principles of electrical engineering. As the program progresses, students learn about more advanced topics such as electrical measurements instrumentation and signal transmission, electronics, numerical methods, and microprocessor engineering. They also study topics related to electrical power engineering, including high voltage technology, converter drives control, and electric traction.
The program also offers two specializations: Control and Computer Engineering and Electrical Power Engineering. Students in the Control and Computer Engineering specialization focus on the design and implementation of control systems, including those used in robotics, automation, and manufacturing. They also study computer engineering, including topics such as computer networks, artificial intelligence, and programming languages. Students in the Electrical Power Engineering specialization, on the other hand, focus on the design, analysis, and operation of electrical power systems, including those used in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Overall, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering provides students with a comprehensive education in the theory and practice of electrical engineering, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this exciting and rapidly evolving field.
