The M.Sc. in Electronics and Telecommunications with specialization in Information and Communication Technologies is offered by the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications. The program is designed to last either three or four semesters, depending on the candidate's previous academic qualifications. The 3-semester program is exclusively for B.Sc. graduates in electronics and telecommunications, while the 4-semester program is intended for Bachelor's degree holders in subjects other than electronics and telecommunications, such as general electrical engineering, computer science, physics, technical physics, mathematics, or control engineering.
The program curriculum comprises a ‘preparatory’ semester, followed by courses in telecommunications and electronics. The ‘preparatory’ semester is mainly focused on enhancing and broadening the student's knowledge in telecommunications and electronics. The curriculum following it is identical to the 3-semester program. The program offers a modified set of elective courses every year, based on the faculty council's approval and general student preferences.
Upon completion of the program, a graduate receives a Master of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunications with specialization in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Graduates are well-prepared to undertake research and development in their field of study. They can work in R&D centers, telecommunications, and electronics companies. They are also equipped to manage engineering teams involved in designing new equipment, networks, services, etc. Moreover, the program prepares graduates for doctoral studies.
