The Department of Foreign Languages at Wrocław University of Science and Technology offers preparatory courses for international students interested in studying BSc and MSc programs in English. The course spans an entire academic year and is divided into two semesters. It consists of 600 hours of English classes per year, with an emphasis on improving language skills and reaching a B2 level of proficiency. The course also includes modules on Polish language and culture, as well as optional mathematics or physics. The curriculum covers general English in the first semester and focuses on academic language skills in the second semester, preparing students to understand lectures, research papers, and written assignments in English. At the end of the course, students undergo examinations in English, physics, and mathematics, with the English examination assessing proficiency at the B2 level. Course materials and exam registration fees are provided at no cost to the students. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in trips, lectures, and cultural events throughout the academic year, enriching their experience at the university and in Poland.
