English Studies with German

The English Studies with German program at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities is designed for individuals who have a passion for language learning and an interest in European culture. This program is an excellent choice for those who wish to pursue careers in business, politics, or cultural studies, as it provides a comprehensive understanding of English and German languages.

To be eligible for this program, students must have English proficiency at the CEFR B2 level or higher, which can be supported by appropriate English proficiency certificates. Students who hold a Polish secondary school diploma (matura) must have a basic level minimum of 90% or an extended level minimum of 60%.

This undergraduate program lasts for three years and is offered on a full-time basis, with classes scheduled from Monday to Friday. Graduates of this program will have a competitive edge in the job market, with a diverse set of language skills that broaden their range of employment opportunities.

The first track is the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) specialization, which prepares students for a teaching profession in various educational contexts. The second track is the Cultural and Literary Studies - Cultural and Literary Track, which focuses on studying cultural and literary texts that have shaped and reflected the living reality of the English-speaking world, with a focus on developing analytical and writing skills. The third track is the English for Business Environment - Business Track, which teaches business English with elements of economy, marketing, and public relations, including business management, organizational structure, market issues, and business writing. Students also gain general business skills, such as presentation and negotiation skills, and learn about the business code of conduct.
