English Studies with Japanese at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities is an undergraduate program that lasts for three years. The program is designed for individuals who have a passion for learning languages, meeting diverse people, and exploring other cultures. During the program, students learn both English and Japanese simultaneously, with a focus on achieving CEFR C1 English and B2 Japanese proficiency levels or higher.
English courses in the program are taught at a higher level of competency and cover linguistics, intensive language development, as well as cultural and historical background of English-speaking countries. On the other hand, Japanese classes start at the beginner level and gradually develop language competencies.
The program is open to individuals who have already completed another program of study and would like to expand their career opportunities by learning a new language and perfecting their English skills. Candidates interested in this program must have English proficiency at a minimum CEFR B2 level, which should be supported by appropriate English proficiency certificates. For holders of a Polish secondary school diploma (matura), a basic level of minimum 90% or an extended level of minimum 60% is required.
