This faculty offers a two-year (four semesters) full-time graduate program leading to a master's degree in Family Studies. The program provides pedagogical preparation and the right to practice as a teacher of Family life preparation classes. The curriculum includes education in psychology and social welfare to help students understand the complexities of family relationships and psychological dynamics of family functioning.
The program is practice-oriented, and the majority of the courses focus on developing practical professional skills. Students will learn from experienced psychologists and other specialists with practical backgrounds in helping families. Graduates can take up a job as a teacher of Family life preparation classes, work in private family counseling, or apply for management positions in social welfare institutions such as social service centers, day care centers, and child care facilities. Graduates with a comprehensive education in family studies will also be able to start their own business providing professional psychosocial support services or educational services such as workshops, training, coaching, or prevention programs.
