The Graphic Arts degree programme offered by the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Visual Communication at UAP is available in both full-time first-cycle (BA) studies of 3 years and full-time second-cycle (MA) studies of 2 years. The programme focuses on providing students with a full range of artistic attitudes and means of expression through presentations, exhibitions, and exploration of a variety of graphic arts and printmaking techniques.
The curriculum includes practical and theoretical courses, and students in the first year attend general courses, fine arts courses, and basic courses in graphic arts to develop their skills and discover different techniques and means of expression. Students also attend courses related to graphic design, such as design basics, preparation for printing, and computer workshops, to understand the interrelation between art and design.
Starting from the second year of studies, students of Graphic Arts select their main and supplementary studios, and each studio has a unique program to equip students with an extraordinary set of skills. Students create their own works based on the techniques they learn and develop new skills through individual and group consultation. Additionally, students can attend courses in drawing, painting, or sculpture to gain more knowledge and skills necessary to develop their artistic activity and create a wider artistic context. Throughout the course of studies, students have the opportunity to attend freely selected studios of art or design, which makes UAP's offer unique nationwide.
The degree programme in Graphic Arts is based on six studios, and each of them has an autonomous and original program that enriches the educational offer of the whole programme by supporting each other. An important element of the educational process is the exchange with national and foreign centers of artistic education, and the Student Graphic Art Biennale, a nationwide competition that exhibits works submitted by students in Poland and abroad, has been organized for more than a decade.
The announcement of accepted candidates will take place from 17 July to 21 July 2023. Accepted students will be required to pay the tuition fee for the first year or first semester of their studies to receive the admission letter. Candidates who have been qualified but decline admission are required to submit their resignations to the email address [email protected] from 24 July to 26 July 2023.
It is important to note that the university reserves the right not to launch the course of study in the event of insufficient number of candidates. Finally, international students admitted for the first year of their studies are required to deliver the original versions of documents submitted in the application process to the International Office for verification in October 2023.
