The Civil Engineering program offered by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a Master’s degree program that aims to provide students with advanced knowledge and understanding of Engineering Infrastructure challenges. The program is designed to develop analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills in students so that they can apply them in solving complex engineering problems.
The program spans three semesters, starting in either March or October, with a total of 90 ECTS credits to be obtained by students to receive their MSc diploma. The primary goal of this study is to provide the highest quality of teaching modules to the students to ensure that they possess the best understanding of structural design and geotechnical engineering.
To be eligible for this program, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent diploma in civil engineering or a related field. The program is open to international students, but they must have confirmed knowledge of the English language. In case the number of candidates exceeds the admission limit, the average grade from first-cycle studies is taken into account.
The first year of the program comprises several mandatory subjects such as foreign language, hydraulic structures, environmental hazard assessment, mathematics, theory of elasticity and plasticity, structural mechanics, and geotechnical engineering in urban and transportation infrastructure. Additionally, students can choose two more subjects according to their interests.
The second year includes several advanced modules such as complex steel structures, construction process management, construction-executing and process planning, finite element methods, construction law, investment processes regulations, advanced foundation engineering, complex concrete structures, timber structures, and BIM in civil engineering. A diploma seminar and intellectual property management are also included in the second year.
