Interior Design

Interior Design is a degree program offered by the University of the Arts Poznan, and it has been in operation for over 90 years. The program is part of the Faculty of Interior and Stage Design and provides a comprehensive development of students' skills. The program's core curriculum includes studios of interior or exhibition design selected by students, as well as supplementary studios representing other design-related disciplines. The curriculum is also complemented by specific theoretical knowledge, and students attend studios of drawing and other selected art studios, as well as humanities courses.

The aim of the teaching process is to prepare students for carrying out individual and group projects, with the goal of producing graduates who are responsible, professionally aware designers that represent a critical and creative approach to architecture and exhibition design. They are capable of preserving what is worth preserving but also actively search for new solutions.

During the three-year full-time first-cycle studies (BA), the emphasis is on comprehensive, professional preparation for the profession of interior and exhibition designer. On the other hand, the two-year full-time second-cycle studies (MA) allow for a further development of students' independent creative identities. This process results in modern, original, and individual creations performed in various architectural spaces.

Students of Interior Design have the option to select their main studio and two supplementary studios from a wide range of studios offered by the Faculty. Each studio has an individual and diverse curriculum, and students can also obtain new skills by attending other studios of fine arts that operate at other Faculties of UAP. Apart from the development of artistic and design skills, students attend design-related theoretical courses and specialized courses in design software.
