The Faculty of International Business offers a comprehensive and multidisciplinary programme that prepares students for a career in the globalized economy. The curriculum is designed to give students a practical understanding of international business processes and practices, and covers various aspects of international markets and cross-border transactions, including economic, managerial, cultural, political, and social dimensions. Students learn about international trade and finance, international investment, and multinational enterprises through a mix of theoretical and practical approaches, including case studies and interactive learning activities.
Taught by Polish and foreign lecturers and practitioners, the programme offers a unique perspective on international economics and business, preparing students for a diverse career with opportunities across many sectors and industries. Students gain cross-cultural knowledge, communication, and language skills, enabling them to operate effectively in diversified domestic and multinational organizations. They also develop an understanding of the economic, political, legal, social, and cultural forces that affect businesses operating in a globalized economy, which prepares them to react flexibly to changes and challenges faced in the global business environment.
The Faculty of International Business focuses on developing students' potential to be entrepreneurial and take leadership roles in their chosen occupations, careers, and communities. Graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct an independent business activity whose scope includes foreign markets, as well as to internationalize their own business or family businesses. Additionally, the programme prepares graduates for advanced study, and they can apply for a Master's degree.
The Faculty of International Business is EFMD Accredited, which is the most comprehensive programme accreditation system for business degrees. Graduates of the programme are well-equipped for a variety of career paths, including working in finance, sales, logistics, marketing, and human resources departments of businesses operating in an international context. They can also work in foreign trade/export-import departments and agencies, international business consulting companies, non-profit organizations operating in an international environment, or central or local government entities and public institutions. Overall, the Faculty of International Business provides students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the globalized economy.
