The Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography offers a Master of Science degree in Geodesy and Cartography with a specialization in Mobile Mapping and Navigation Systems. This program is designed for students who are interested in acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of spatial data collection, processing, and analysis for modern navigation systems. The faculty is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education in the principles of designing, developing, and using mobile measurement platforms and mobile mapping systems, as well as location-based and navigation applications.
The program's curriculum includes a range of modules that cover topics such as standards for geodata, modern photogrammetry, 3D city modeling, programming languages with numerical methods, reference systems for navigation, integrated navigation systems, satellite navigation systems, principles of transport economics, and intelligent transportation systems and autonomous cars. The program also covers urban solutions for autonomous vehicles, which is an increasingly important area of research in the field of mobile mapping and navigation systems.
Graduates of this program will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to work in various industries, including but not limited to, processing and analysis of geospatial data, designing location and navigation applications, developing positioning and attitude determination systems for mobile measurement platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles and mobile mapping systems, creating systems for crisis management, and intelligent transport technologies.
