Graduates of the Applied Geophysics department at our university can carry out their development and engineering tasks thanks to the knowledge they have acquired on the execution of geophysical methods. Graduates can design and implement geophysical environments for the assessment of natural hazards and man-made hazards, particularly threats to the extraction of energy and raw materials. Graduates also have the abilities to plan and implement geophysical functions of the environment in time and space.
Applied Geophysics graduates to work in geophysics, geology and mining operations. Also, to focus on the qualifications necessary for research in higher study, scientific and research institutes and other development activities. Also, those who work in tertiary custody (PhD studies) for bodies that allow them to do creative work thanks to their physical and IT knowledge.
Applied Geophysics graduates, those who work in passenger with geophysical, geological and mining profiles. They work independently in the field, executing the measurement results. They can also operate as system guards for results and interpretation of geophysical and geological-mining data. They may also work in geophysical observatories and operate seismometric networks in hard coal and copper mines.
They can also work in other higher technical education requirements organizations and in different branches of geophysics so that they have a good knowledge of using fully equipped scientific instruments and IT tools. They can work in professions such as earnings geophysics, engineering geophysics, environmental geophysics. They do not see the opportunity to work in jobs such as earnings geophysicist, petroleum geophysicist, mining geophysicist, environmental geophysicist, petrophysicist, seismologist.
The Faculty of Geology and Geophysics collaborates with the EVS - UST Career Office and produces reports annually. Fellows of the program, these reports
