This bachelor's programme is designed to provide a comprehensive
understanding of the Polish language, literature, and culture to students
from all backgrounds, including non-native speakers, foreigners, and Poles
residing abroad. It is also ideal for those interested in the Polish language
and culture and wish to expand their knowledge. The programme aims to
enable students to achieve a minimum proficiency level of B2 in both
Polish and English.
Students can choose from two specializations: teaching Polish as a foreign
language and the use of Polish language in tourism and business, preparing
them for a professional career in various sectors of the labor market. Graduates can find employment opportunities in language schools both in Poland and abroad, cultural institutions, translation agencies, media, publishing houses, travel agencies, diplomatic missions, and various companies and enterprises that require communication in Polish and English on different levels, along with other languages known to the graduates.
Throughout the programme, students will gain extensive knowledge of
Polish grammar, literature, and culture, as well as English as a foreign
language. Students will have the opportunity to study under highly
qualified academic staff with considerable experience in teaching both
Polish and English as foreign languages. The curriculum is designed to
provide students with a practical understanding of the Polish language and
culture, including courses on Polish history, society, and traditions.
Additionally, the programme offers students a range of extracurricular
activities, including language clubs, cultural events, and field trips, which
provide them with a deeper understanding of Polish culture and society. By
the end of the programme, students will have developed strong linguistic
and intercultural communication skills, making them competitive candidates
in the global job market.
