The Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering offers a comprehensive M.Sc. program in Aerospace Engineering that prepares students for careers in aviation engine design, research laboratories, and maintenance centers. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in scientific research and design, optimization, modernization, and maintenance of flying vehicles. Throughout the three-semester program, students learn about recent achievements in the field and are equipped with the necessary tools and methods to take on management positions in industry or undertake research activities.
The program's coursework includes a variety of modules that cover essential topics in aerospace engineering, such as Advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics, Composite Materials in Aerospace, Physics of the Atmosphere, and Attitude and Navigation Systems. Additionally, students have the opportunity to develop practical skills in the Aircraft Systems Laboratory, where they can learn about the dynamics of flight and heat transfer in aerospace.
The program culminates in a research-based project during the third semester, in which students are tasked with solving a research problem that is then put into their master's diploma thesis. Graduates of the program are prepared to design and construct main assemblies of planes, helicopters, rockets, and satellites with the use of modern engineering tools, as well as to analyze and modify the same.
Overall, the M.Sc. Aerospace Engineering program provides students with a comprehensive education and practical skills that can be applied to a wide range of careers in the aviation and space sectors. Graduates have the opportunity to work for domestic and international companies in these industries, as well as aviation and space sector research and development centers, and design and production companies implementing advanced structural, material, and IT technologies.
