Product Design

The Product Design program at the Faculty of Architecture and Design offers both full-time first-cycle studies (BA) and full-time second-cycle studies (MA). The curriculum is based on a combination of design and fine arts education, allowing students to develop creativity, imagination, and sensitivity. The program exposes students to a wide spectrum of different design techniques, and they have the opportunity to confront their creative achievements with students of fine arts and other design-related degree programs. The Department of Design is composed of seven design studios and two laboratories, and all members of the faculty are active designers who are willing to share their expertise with students. Students' works are presented at prestigious exhibitions and fairs.

During the six semesters of the BA studies, students become familiar with the basics of 2D and 3D design, graphic design, and manual modeling. They also begin preparing for their future work as designers, carrying out many project themes in cooperation with external companies and participating in project competitions. In addition to compulsory courses in design studios at the Department of Design, students attend studios of other faculties, gradually expanding the scope of their tasks and deepening their understanding of design issues.

The MA studies last two academic years, with the first year consisting of a number of design and research topics. In the second year, students prepare their diploma works and master's theses. Overall, the Product Design program aims to provide students with a well-rounded education in design and fine arts, preparing them for successful careers in the field.
