The Master of Science in Electronics and Telecommunications program at Gdansk University of Technology's Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics provides students with the opportunity to specialize in either Radio Communication Systems and Networks or Computer Electronic Systems. The program is designed to be completed in either 2 years (4 semesters) or 1.5 years (3 semesters), and the language of instruction is English. The program offers 123 ECTS points over 4 semesters or 95 ECTS points over 3 semesters. The program starts in the winter semester for the 2-year program and in the summer semester for the 1.5-year program. Students will gain advanced knowledge in theoretical subjects such as Mathematics and Theory of Probability, as well as in practical engineering subjects such as Digital Signal Processing and Microwave Techniques. Graduates will be equipped with the skills necessary to design and operate modern communication systems and networks, including radio communication systems and computer electronic systems. They will be prepared for careers in research and development, telecommunications, and other related fields.
Master of Science in Electronics and Telecommunications program offered by Gdansk University of Technology prepares students to become professional specialists in the design, operation, and implementation of various telecommunications systems and networks. The program offers two specializations, namely Radio Communication Systems and Networks, and Computer Electronic Systems. Graduates of the program will have acquired comprehensive knowledge and skills in various areas of telecommunications, including cellular and trunked radio communication, wireless data transmission systems, satellite and land-based radio-navigation systems, and digital radio and TV broadcast.
The program has different entry requirements depending on the duration of the program. For the 3-semester program, applicants are required to have a BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications, Informatics, and must have obtained a minimum of 210 ECTS points in their Bachelor's studies. For the 4-semester program, applicants are required to have a BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications, Automatics and Robotics, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics, Mechatronics, or other related fields with a strong background in mathematics and physics.
Graduates of the program will have excellent career opportunities in various fields, including national and international telecommunication companies, research and development units, consulting companies, and administration. They will have acquired skills and knowledge in the operation and design of radiocommunication systems, satellite systems, digital television, sensor networks, and IT security of wireless networks. Additionally, they will have social skills such as creativity, ability to work in a group, openness to innovative technical solutions, and efficient use of technical vocabulary in both Polish and English.
