The Asian Studies program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the social, political, economic, and cultural landscape of Asian countries. Through coursework and research, students will gain knowledge about the rich cultural heritage of China and Japan, as well as political systems and social development across the region. Additionally, students will explore the international politics of major players such as the United States, China, Japan, and Russia, and examine economic dynamics and trends in the East and South Asia region.
Graduates of the Asian Studies program will be equipped with the skills necessary to succeed in a variety of professional settings, including companies and institutions involved in diplomatic, economic, cultural, or social contacts with East Asian countries or international organizations operating in Asia. They may pursue careers in national administration and self-government authorities responsible for the development of foreign policy, as well as cultural, educational, and research institutions, and publishing and mass media organizations dealing with East Asian affairs.
