SWPS University, we offer an innovative and practical program of study that emphasizes the importance of emotional intelligence, social responsibility, and personal development. We recognize that emotions and irrational factors play a crucial role in decision making and market behavior, and that credible and trusted brands must build their businesses on values that go beyond the bottom line.
Our program also emphasizes the shift from a transactional to a relational economy, where long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with customers are the key to success. We teach our students how to manage interdisciplinary and often remote teams, as well as how to design innovative solutions and identify the needs and challenges of the digital world.
Above all, we believe that everyone can be a changemaker, and we strive to develop self-confidence and agency in our students to positively impact the world around them. Our Management and Leadership program has been recognized by ASHOKA's "Journey to Changemaker Certificate," which reflects our commitment to fostering changemakers who can identify problems, propose solutions, and implement change while working with teams.
With our program, we aim to equip our students with the skills and mindset necessary to become effective and responsible leaders in the ever-changing global business landscape.
The world is changing faster than ever before: the development of new technologies, the breakdown of the current model of free-market economy, globalization and the ubiquity of social media. All these phenomena cause rapid changes in the business environment and require new management tools as well as a lot of flexibility and new skills, on the part of managers.
In many countries, a traditional and over-theorized teaching model dominates management studies. Unfortunately, it is not aligned with the current environment and the encroaching challenges of the job market. There is very little practice and project work in the traditional teaching framework, which is based on statistical economic models. Moreover, insufficient appreciation of psychology and the role it plays in the practice of management makes for a painful confrontation, when graduates are faced with real challenges of the job market and it also leaves employers disappointed with the skills of potential employees. Therefore at SWPS University, we have developed an innovative and practical program of study.
